Ammon Marketplace looking for tenants

If you're wondering what's happening with the dirt being moved at the southeastern corner of Hitt and Sunnyside (where Wendy's already is), it's the site of a development called Ammon Marketplace, a joint venture of Ball Ventures and the Woodbury Corp.

The concept for the development is mixed retail and dining. Total space available is 175,000 square feet, with a minimum of 13,000 square feet. Rental rates are negotiable.

The development is being marketed by Pentad Properties, which has worked locally with such companies as Bed, Bath & Beyond, Wells Fargo, T-Mobile, Family Dollar Stores, Artic Circle Restaurants and Harbor Freight Tools. For a look at their Web site, visit http://www.pentadidaho.com/.

  1. It's good to see some dirt moving. Retail speculation must be looking up around here. Any word on any possible tenants?

  2. It might be coming it a bit high to say they're moving much dirt. It's a big piece of ground, and basically there are some flags and some scrapings on the eastern end, along Sunnyside. Still, it's something. We will keep you posted.

  3. Possibly will be conjuring up tenants over the winter. Probably wise to get the infrastructure work done while there is no snow on the ground. I did hear at one time that Fred Meyers had laid claim to a piece of that property.

    Here's something for you to look into; the old Artic Circle on Broadway has been recently gutted, wonder if there is anything planned there. You would figure that would be a desirable corner property.
